Here is a picture of one of our tanks. We have two tanks that use Organic Aqua in our sitting room. A Jewel Trigon 190 and also a Rio 400.
we are upgrading the Rio 400 to a massive Elite Horizon 200 over the weekend. That will also be an Organic Aqua tank.
Here are a few things we noted after using Organic Aqua
1. Fish actually look happier. This is no joke! I don't mean that you see them smiling or anything , but they are more active. They swim around a lot more.
2. Water is crystal clear - have been keeping fish for a few years now and have never seen such clarity.
3. Less maintenance. This product was actually a GREAT help to me when I injured my back - for the simple reason that I didn't have to do water changes each week. You only have to do a water change once a month and then add a little of the product each week. It is simple!!
4. Without using this product if you are setting up a new tank you must wait for weeks for the baterial level to balance and settle. With this product you just add it and you can add the fish immediately. Beats having an empty tank in the sitting room, thats for sure!!
I will post a picture of the new tank on Monday - it is massive!![img][/img]

It seems that the products are very popular in Ireland. Another happy customer, Fish FX in Dun Laoghaire in Dublin stock it which is where I bought my starter kits and then discovered that it really is a great product and cuts down on maintenance and means that you spend more time enjoying looking at the fish rather than stressing them out by cleaning the tank.
I would recommend to anyone thinking about making the plunge, it works great, the water stays clear, you don't have to wait as long starting up the tank and the fish are happier and healthier.
We have recently bought a Juwel Vision 180 and my old tank is going to be changed to a fresh water organic aquarium at my mothers house, she likes the low level of maintenance and at least the tank will go to a good home as well. |

In fairness, the only reason they are cheaper online is because I wasn't charged for shipping!!
I got a good deal!! |

Hi there
Just want everybody to know that the Organic Aqua Pond Products are absolutely fantastic!
I had a leak in my pond and my water was constantly dirty. After fixing the leak I bought Organic Aqua General Pond Treatment and immediately I could see a difference in my pond and especially the clarity of my water. Ever since my water has been clear and my fish healthy!
Thank You Organic Aqua

Hi Gunther,
I had to put my one up on an external website, then use the "img" button in the editor to place a link to it.
What kind of fish do you have in the pond? Sounds interesting!

Sorry for the late reply.
I mainly have gold fish and there might be some other things swimming in there, but one thing is it's never looked this good. And the fish are swimming around having fun as it seems.
but I have a picture and don't know how to get it on the forum. How do I put mine on an external website?

|

Here are some details of my 2 tanks, I will try to add pictures but couldn't ad them to this mail successfully.
One is a 180 litre marine tank with 2 Common Clowns, 1 Neon Wrasse, 1 Grenn Wrasse, 1 Orange Spot Goby, 1 cleaner shrimp
And soon to have some Green Chromis added.
The other one is a fresh water tropical tank which was only set up last week, 60 litres with at the minute 6 Guppies. The freshwater tank was set up for my mother but I am doing all the work and gives me even more of an incentive to use the organic system. |

hi guys,
steve from fish fx here.
cool to see people getting involved in the forum.
im interested to see not1ie has a marine tank running on organic.
as you may know at fish fx most of our stuff is freshwater and so most of our experience is with this side of things.
i did set up a few saltie tanks tho and ill tell you all a bit about them.
1st one i ever set up was a record 120 last january with;
2 seahorses,
2 cleaner shrimp,
boxfish,
pipefish,
pj (6-line) wrasse,
sulphur goby,
dwarf angel,
2 anthias (wreck fish),
neon goby,
indian ocean firefish,
reg firefish
and an old faithful bicolor blenny.
now i know that some people would be of the school of thought that 15 odd fish thrown into a 120 litre tank with only filter floss (i chucked out the other media except the carbon!), carbon and a small airpump might last for five or ten minutes before all that ammonia, particularly toxic at such a high pH, suffocated the little blighters and they would under normal circumstances be absolutely right.
of course i used the MARINE ORGANIC AQUA and thats why they didn't all die.
*please note that this is an experiment tank tho and i did use more of the products than is usually recommended*
in the same style i have neglected to do a water change on this tank EVER although i do treat it with a tripple dose of general treatment on a bi-weekly basis and i have never had algae.
i even went as far as plugging the filter out a few weeks ago and just running an airstone on either end of the tank for the organic and circulation and everyone is fine.
i put some gorgonia in for the seahorses to play in and some mushrooms for colour and they seem to be doing very well also.
i do seem to get a very high nitrate reading but am convinced that this is a form of detoxified nitrate as the fish are fine and the algae is nonexistant.
i will post some pics for your perusal.
2nd marine tank i set up was a native irish one which started off as a place to put a mermaids purse (dogfish egg) a friend of mine had found when we were snorkeling in dun laoghaire one day.
this tank evolved from a small 10ltr job to a rekord 120 like my one at home except we set it up in the shop.
over a week or so we filled it with loads of anemones, blennies, pipefish, gobies, shrimp, scorpianfish, crabs, seaweed and anything else we could find!
this has been going strong with no water changes for about 6months and no filter at all.
gotta go now will continue tommorrow,
keep it organic, never panic!!

Firstly,
I, as the most valued customer of FishFx, can vouch 100% for what Steve said. It is truely amazing what he has done with an air pump and some Organic!
Secondly,
I really have to say thank you to Steve and all the crew in SA for bringing this product to us. It is quite simply the greatest thing an aquarist will ever have and practically the only thing we will ever need (apart from a tank and some fish!).
When they look back at the 20th Century, the most important inventions will be (in no particular order), cars, computers, the Internet and Organic Aquariums!
My fish love this stuff. As soon as I started using it, they all got so much more colourful, they started to grow faster, they started to look healthier, I have never had one single disease or illness in the tank and deaths have dropped dramatically - basically my fish die of old age. In fact, it has got to the point where I have to take fish out of my tank now in order to put new ones in, when before I just used to replace the deads.
And I love this stuff, the water is so clear, it's practically unbelievably. I spend less than 2 hours a month doing the maintenance on the tank and my tank is 8ft x 3ft x 2ft!
Fish-keeping was quite a chore before this product but we all still did it because it's so rewarding. Now, becasue of you get so much back for so little effort, it almost doesn't seem right, but this is one aquarist that you won't hear complaining!
Thanks for everything... _________________ --------------------

Forgot to say,
Have a look at www.fishtank.fws1.com for pictures and construction information about my tank as well as a very interesting story about how my entire fish population was saved from being wiped out by the magic of Organic Aquariums. The story is under the "Custom" page.
Cheers
